Freeing a Salt Water Prop Hub.

Ok I am a fresh water boater, that has purchased a prop, from a salt water boater.

The Migigan Wheel hub is stuck in the Prop. I have tried (as hard as I feel good about) to flip it over and hammer it out with a punch. No effect it didn't even budge.

It is the right hub for my boat, so installing it and running it (in fresh water) is a possibility, but I would like to sell the prop next spring if it doesn't work out.

Any hints?

Ayuh,... My guess is, it's a Pressed in Hub that isn't supposed to be changed...

No it is a Michigan Wheel XHS system like this.

I am soaking it in water mixed with CLR right now. It has loosened up the dirt/rust pits on the Stainless and some of the salt. But the hub is still siezed in the prop.

You might try using the marine engine descaling treatment below. Good luck!
