Freeze Crack on outdrive can it be welded or Marine Tex

Can this freeze crack be welded or should I attempt marine tex? When I dropped the outdrive there was plenty of good oil in it but. Fresh Water came out of the lowest drain screw by the propeller and water came out of the port surrounded by the orange oring in this pic what is this hole for how would water get into the lowest part of the outdrive cavity that the propeller gears are in ?

Any time Water is introduced to the Drive oil cavity,... It'll settle to the Bottom of that cavity...... It's Heavier than Oil.....<br /><br />Even without seeing your picture,.... I Doubt Epoxy is going to Fix it,...<br />And,.. Without a Tear-Down,..... Welding Rarely Works.......<br />A New or Replacement Housing is Usually the Only Answer........<br /><br />Besides,..... The Gears have been sitting in Water all winter,+ are Probably Rusted by now........<br />Which Probably means they're Junk as Well........
