Freezing temps expected on Lake St Clair

What should i do if the forecast calls for Freeze advisory monday night... and the boat is in the water.. is it safe to leave? or what.. dont have power at my well to plug a bulb in>>> just curious when is dangerous to leave in water...

Drain the raw water so it won't freeze.

Hey Alternative, weather was calling for frost, don't worry about your engine yet. the water temp is still up in the 60's...since your boat is in the water you don't have much to worry about.You should start thinking about pulling it for the season soon though.<br /><br /> Jim

when is an ideal time to pull out and winterize but also get maximum use ... i know its gonna get warm again!!!

Most marinas around here have a deadline... good weather or not.

Quick addition, if you drain the manifolds with the petcocks, do you drain the hoses as well or are they connected to the manifolds? <br /><br />Going to be 24 tonight and I have to drain mine after work just in case.
