Just wanted to get this info out there to fellow New Englandahs

Freeze warnings have been issued for the overnight hours as lows are expected to drop to, or below, 32 degrees by early Tuesday. Average lows this time of year are in the mid-40s. This includes the towns of Old Forge and Northwood, N.Y. A freeze warning means that sub-freezing temperatures are highly likely. These temperatures would kill crops and other sensitive vegetation, ending the growing season.

Other areas in the Northeast will not be as cold so a frost advisory has been issued for portions of northern New York, western Massachusetts, and the mountains of Vermont. Places included in the advisories are Lake Placid, N.Y., Pittsfield, Mass., and Bennington, Vt. A frost advisory means frost will be possible early Tuesday morning as temperatures drop to the low-to-mid 30s. With these weather conditions, sensitive outdoor plants could be killed if left uncovered.

And today it was 90 with a heat index of 92, and we thought that was cool for this time of year. That's nuts.

But if you guys are used to feet of snow, is a freeze warning really a big deal? I mean down here if it snows enough to make the yards white schools close. LOL :D

The wife and I went camping last weekend, sort of a last harrah for the year. Woke up sunday morn to 32 degrees and frost covering everything. This was in Oscoda, Mi on the AuSable river, glad the boat was in the water. It is time to start winterizing

57 degrees here on the coast of Cape Ann in Gloucester, Mass. and our high for today will be about 75 degrees. We are feeling effects from the tropical storm off Bermuda with an ocean surge along the coast creating pounding surf making it impossible to fish.

Supposed to be in the mid-90's here today. At least its getting down into the upper 60's at night, so working on the boat hasn't been as ponderous as it was all summer long, with temps still in the 80's by 11 PM.

They did, however, close the neighborhood pool yesterday. I guess fall IS in the air ;)

40 degrees this morning and supposed to get up to 80 degrees today ... big change in temps ... Fall is definitely on its way. And because it has been so dry here, the leaves are turning early ... don't know how colorful the mountians will be ... but fall is here.

That's considered summer around here.;) We went from the mid 80's and humid to the upper 50's/low 60's for hi's overnight. Been cold all month.:(

I feel ya....I feel ya....

This past weekend I pulled out the plow blade for the quad, and also moved out the snowmobile's to make room for the boat...sad, sad.
