Is there a special part needed to plug in to the freshwater flush on the back of the motor. I have a quick connect hose coupler from home Depot but it didnt' seem to fit for me.
Yes there is a fitting that fits that port- I happened to buy mine at a local boat store. But I noticed it is a standard size fitting with an adapter to a hose. I can't remember the name of the company but it is a common garden hose component company. Not much help, sorry.
96 225hp Merc 3.0 liter, 3 carbs, 6 cylinders, "computerized ignition" though I'm not sure what that really means yet. I just found out it was a 96 when I ran the serial number.
