1997 Yamaha S150. There is a "hose" fitting on the port side under the main engine compartment with a small diameter external hose attached that seems to go somewhere into the lower unit. What is this fitting and hose for / What does it do?

I am asking because I am trying to figure out how to hook up a hose for flushing the engine, if there is a way, without using the "ears" on the lower unit, and without having to run the engine.

Thanks

Re: Fresh Water Flushing

I have figured this out. The small hose is NOT the speedometer. It is for flushing water through the engine when the garden hose is hooked up. I was mistakenly trying to connect the garden hose to the fitting docking station.
