fresh water pump for an RV in a boat?

can i use a fresh water pump for a RV in a boat? i've found a shurflo 2088-554-144 locally for a good price. this pump will be located in the engine compartment and would replace the original shurflo 2095-223-234.

No you may not. . .

The 2088 model does not seem to says that it is UL Marine approved or ignition protected.
