looking for what it could be.

starts and runs great. will run all day long. shut it off and then no start? any thing pop into your minds? turns over just no start. mercury 90hp 1989

Have you a timing light to see if there are flashes when trying to start it?

does the problem occur on an immediate restart or after the engine has sat awhile?

Check to see if your primer bulb went soft.
