Front/Bow gets to high with low RPM - engine sputters
Trim was up a little to high, front got really high, (while going super slow, almost idle)...then engine started to sputter with front high in the air

I brought it back down quick gave it some gas and it never stalled
it happened again, brought it back down and then sputtered out

any reasons as to what would cause that?

Wel to go ahead you start with the trim tucked all the way down and in. If you are going to plane that's the best way. You don't trim out til you are moving at higher speed. If you want to raise the bow a bit in rough seas you can go along slowly with some trim. But a raised drive and higher throttle openings at low speeds will jus sky your bow. Some heavy boats can't even plane from a raised trim drive. They will just plow.
The sputter may be from tilting the engine so much that the fuel bowl is too angled for the gasoline to go through the jets and ports properly.

Does the bilge have a bunch of water in it? Is your prop banged up? Engine running OK? Extra weight aboard?

Nope. Nope. Nope.

Question.... If an engine is low on oil... And the engine leans back... Would this cause this? Or if a leak make it drop oil pressure and stall?

I did notice... The oil pressure gave would start in middle... And would drop as the engine stuttered.... But perhaps that's even a normal sign if the engine was flooded or bad carb?

First trip out since mechanic had engine out to put on a new timingcover.
Had oil leaking... Good amount. Just trying to see if the stall it could be due to an oil leak

Mechanic said the choke adjustment was a little off.... Does that sound likely
