I'm running a 15 yamaha on a 12 foot duracraft and when I get around 3/4 to full throttle the front of the boat bogs down in the water and becomes uncontrollable . Thanks in advance for any advice.

You should have a pin with several holes on the motor mount, move the pin a couple holes back from the boat, that will make the motor try to lift the bow of boat and should get rid of that problem.

Could also be a weight issue on a small boat like that, if you have alot of weight forward maybe shift some of it back a bit.

15hp on a 12 ft is a lot of motor, it is going to take load balance and tilt angle to get it right.

As TD says, you're probably a little overpowered there. Most 12' tinnies are rated for 10 hp. So, small trim changes can make a big difference. Trim out one hole and try it out. If it still plows, trim out another hole. As the outboard angles away from the transom, it tends to lift the bow up.

The trim angle will change when you're alone in the boat and when you have a passenger. On my 12' boat, it's a matter of one hole, but that will be different with yours, given the higher power.

Watch it, though. Trim out too far and you'll have a squirrely boat, indeed, with 15 hp on the transom.

One quick thing to check - next time the boat is up where you can see under it (trailer, boat lift, etc.) take a sight line down the keel from the transom looking forward. Note whether the keel is straight and level for the first few feet. I had a Starcraft tinny a hook in the last foot of the keel that did what you described. No amount of motor trimming could get the bow out of the water...
