My 2001 9.9 hp Johnson has a flush port screw that is frozen. I've tried a hand impact driver, a screw driver with a hex fitting and wrench, heating it with a small butane torch, tapping it with a hammer, liquid wrench and swearing at it. It's still frozen. Any other ideas? Thanks for any help.

Re: Frozen Screw

Go to Home Depot and get an extractor kit. It comes with 3 size drill bits and 3 size screw extractors. Refer to it as an easy-out.

Its in the tool corral at home depot and is about 7 bucks.

Drill straight through the bolt and then tap the extractor in.

Back the bolt out with an adjustable wrench slowly.

This will work.

Re: Frozen Screw

Drill out using a left handed drill bit, often times the drill will back the screw out without ever needing to use an extractor.
