Hi,

I own a Yamaha F155 (four stroke). I started the engine and it started to beep (intermittent) as soon I cranked it up. The air temperature is below 30 degrees. Oil level seems ok. There was no water coming out of the engine. I am afraid there maybe frozen water inside the engine, the boat is still on the water (brackish water).

I need to run the engine in order to pull the boat out of the water.

Please advise. Thanks.

I know it has been a few weeks since you posted, but I am just seeing this.

DO you have access to a water hose at your docks. I would try tilting the motor out of the water and puttign muffs on it and turning the water on. This will let you know it there is some sort of blockage in the water inlets. If water does not come out, see if you can hook the hose to hot water and melt possible ice blockage to obtain water flow. If that is not it, your thermostats or impeller could be shot.

Knightgang
