Hello I have a 1993 Astro S18FS, it is the fish and ski model with a 150 on it. I have been struggling since I bought this boat to understand why I can only fill the tank when empty to 15 gallons. My tank is stamped to hold 25 gal. Any help is appreciated!

Hi and welcome.
Are you sure it's empty when you are trying to fill it?
It could be the gauge.

Is it an Aluminum tank or plastic? I saw a plastic tank once that was foamed in and actually was distorted kind of crushed down.

Did you run the engine all the way to empty? Until it quit? Maybe the gauge isn't showing the accurate fuel level. I know mine doesn't, it reports empty when I've still got a quarter tank or more.

May be you have fuel on your tank , that's why u cant fill more than 15 gal...... make the tank empty first than try it or your tank originally made for 15 gal not 25 gal

Also make sure the tank vent hose is not clogged or pinched off. I built inboard jet bass boats for a while and it had a 36 gal tank that was tricky to fill until we figured out the vent was in the wrong place on the hull...
