Decarbed my 92 Johnson 115 CF using the seafoam method with a 1gal remote tank. After two 15min periods of running at fast idle (1400 rpm) the 1gal mixture is almost gone. Is this normal fuel consumption for this motor?

1 gal in a 1/2 hour doesn't sound out of line when decarbing a 115. May be a tad high, but the real test is when you get it back in the water..

Thanks for the reply Rick. I know these motors suck a lot of fuel, but 1gal in 1/2 hr just seemed a little much. Thought it may have something to do with it being out of the water (no back pressure).

Won't know till I put it in the water Sunday. The idle increased about 100 rpms and sounds smoother. A lot of crud came out of it. I had just decarbed about 10hrs ago with the OMC stuff. The seafoam method seems to clean it out better.
