Fuel Consumption Yammie vs Johnson

I've got a 1988- 175 Johnson GT V6 that Drinks gas.... I have found a Yammie 1989 200hp carbed at a reasonable price. Worth while to change based upon fuel consumption? Are these fuel savy?

My experience is to expect much greater fuel economy and power from the Yamaha. Whether or not it justifies changing motors for is up to you to do the math.<br /> Identical runs years ago with the same boats showed the Yamaha to get twice the milage of a GT 150 and a Yamaha 200.
