Fuel delivery diagnosis question

I have a 1971 1150 inline 6. Ran good 6 months ago but the other day I had a hard time cranking the motor. I have clear fuel line going between the carbs. I finally got it cranked and it back fired and sputtered indicating misfires one 1 or 2 cylinders I'm sure. I noticed the top carb wasn't receiving fuel while the motor was running so I rebuilt the fuel pump with new gaskets and diaphragm. One way valves looked good. Cranked it and still no change in performance so I pulled the carbs off and chem dipped them, blew them out and put them back on. I have new fuel connectors and bulb as well. My question is, have I covered all the bases or is there something else to look at before I give it another try. Gonna take it out next weekend and want to make sure I get it all done right this weekend. Thanks.

Should note also, I did check spark on all plugs and they're good.

Re: Fuel delivery diagnosis question

even though the spark is good hit it with a timing light, its pretty easy and most auto part stores rent them if you dont have one. And check the max advance on it might be to high or might be retarded to much. check specs to make sure your in range, assuming carbs are working right. could ohm out your trigger as well just to be safe....

Re: Fuel delivery diagnosis question

Thanks, yeah I used a timing light to check spark. I'm gonna pick up a spark gap tester tomorrow and make sure its enough spark tho. I will redo timing also cause I noticed that the carbs were not fully open at wot. I think the screws in the collar came loose and it slipped or whatever that is with the screws. Thanks
