2004 Four Winns with Mercruiser 5.0 alpha drive. Fuel pump/cooler kit. Ran up and down lake for 30 minutes, two no wake zones in between. Idling with short in gear corrections while waiting for spot at dock and engine dies. Would not restart. Had plenty of battery and spark. Pulled upper fuel regulator and was barely spitting fuel on prime and engine crank. Fuel/water separator was empty. Able to suck a mouthful of gas out of tank pickup like. Lower pressure regulator screen was clean. Changed fuel pump. Engine cranked but stalled after a few seconds. Filled separator manually with gas can. Engine cranked and ran but was loapy and died when separator was out of fuel. Filled separator a second time and same result. Anyone have any ideas as to what I should try next.
