Not particularly a Mercury question, but it's happening on my Mercury 650. Anyone out there ever experienced the kind of fuel discoloration in the first photo? The first one is fuel pumped out of the carburetor bowls. The second photo is fuel pumped straight from the tank. I've cleaned the entire fuel system twice already and have checked the fuel color coming into the fuel pump, which is good to go. So it's happening between the fuel pump and the next fuel line from the pump to the top carburetor. That line is a brand new after-market fuel line (I've got an OEM line on order). I'm scratching my head about what's causing the change and wondering if this is the culprit in the engine not firing. It wanted to fire on Friday, but would quite turn over. Today, nothing.
