well, i just keep haveing fun with my new (well used) toy. i've got 2 12 gal. fuel tank in my trisonic. i had a fuel diverter valve at the start of the weekend. however it wasn't diverting to the port tank. well anyways, the nipple broke off the starboard tank. left me hosed (pun intended) on the river, fortunetly on the ramp. so i put me on a t fitting for now. seem to be takeing fuel from both sides as for now, down to 1/3 tank. question, what if i only fill one tank, one full, one empty. will it take fuel from the full side, or the empty one. seems like i might be in for problems running with a t. ie suckin air from one side when ones empty and the other has fuel. also wondering about what is coast gaurd approved for a fuel diverter valve. the one that was there is best i can tell a TH marine water valve, with manual cable remote to dash. which is nice and i'd like to retain. but as of yet ain't found the exact replacement valve. not sure i want to as it's a water valve i think. opinions??? jim

Re: fuel diverter valve?

go get you a fuel diverter valve for a late seventies early eighties chevy truck with dual tanks, if i remember correctly they were cable controlled, if not an electric on should be easy enough to install! ask your parts house, how to wire an electric on! if they are any good at all they could tell you how to wire an electric on!! Good Luck
