gonna be redoing my fuel feed lines. i got a disaster at this point. duel fuel tanks. shut off's at both tanks. 1 mile of b1 hose from both tanks to the starboard side gunwale where it had a remote control plastic baitwell valve,
. then off to the fuel pump.... ( now has a plastic t fitting instead of the plastic baitwell valve. yep, i broke the plastice valve last summer) yikes, yikes, yikes, pooooof...man was i lucky.
i just want to make sure i've got this right. gonna have no batt in place. gonna check for ground to both tanks. gonna ground myself before touching it. gonna disconnect fuel line at fuel pump and drain into a container. then disconnect both shut off's and hopefully service them,(lub) they turn stiffly. then put me some nipples onto the shutoff valves and b1 hose it over to a three way marine t-valve(gonna mount the t-valve to a block of wood and screw it to the boat). more nipples, then off to the pump. length of run will not be over 82" of 3/8" hose from one tank to the pump, for the hose slice test the uscg talks about. am i handleing this safely??? both tanks are topped off.
also, when done, thought i'd ground the coil wire and crank it over to prime the fuel pump and get some fuel up to that carb. is that proper???
