I have a 1989 90 johnson, been sitting for the past 6 years...put gas in it an it started up but the water pump was not working,so tore it down an got it replaced an working good now, but motor was not running very well an got worse the more I tried too run it.So I pulled both carb.s an they were a mess inside, 3 cans of carb cleaner later,an they looked good.I took apart the fuel fiter an clean it an replace all gas hoses from fuel filter forward.Got everything back together an it fired right up,I let it run idle about 10 min.s then shut it off.Well about an hour later tried to recrank it an it started acking like it did before I clean it.Well today I tore it back apart an the carb. are full of trash again(little black specks). This has to be coming from the oil line so going too rip out all the oil line.Is there anything I need too watch for about hooking of the VRO unit back up...I plan on putting pleany of oil in the gas untill I know for sure it is pumping oil again. Also can I put another fuel filter right after the fuel pump, that way both the gas an oil are filter.(pic 1) Pic 2 what is the little clear tube on the oil line...thanks for any help
