Fuel Filter/Water Separator - WHICH TO INSTALL?

This is the first time I am working on my own boat and realize that it does not have a separate fuel filter/water separator. I have a 2005 Mercruiser 3.0L engine. Does Mercruiser sell one that I can just cut and install into the fuel line, or is there another one out there people recommend?

Seems like people always talk about making sure you have a fuel filter, especially if running ethanol/E10 gas.

Which fuel filter/separator is good? Does Mercruiser sell a standard one?

You can pick up an aftermarket kit at any marine supply store Sierra makes them and is more reasonably priced than going with Mercruiser.

Did some searing online and saw the Sierra bracket, and filters all over the place. Guess i'll see what is local, or scoop one up online.

Another question, I see that some have different flow values. Is there a specific one I should be looking for with a 3.0L?
