Fuel gage in a 84 conroy

I have brought a dead conroy back to life! All I'm missing is a fuel gauge sending unit. I'm not sure if I should use a universal one or try to find an original. I would appreciate some direction on where to look. I'm not sure if my local marine shop would even carry one. Thanks, Troy

Original may be hard to find, Online boat salvage yards, evil bay, etc.. Fiberglassics might be another source. Good luck.

I've seen some reviews of so called budget priced senders. So I'm kinda skidish on what I buy. Anyway thanks for your response, that helps alot

Sorry I was not thinking correctly. I originally thought you were needing the Dash Fuel Guage. You're wanting the sending unit for the tank...Correct??? I think this would be fine...http://www.iboats.com/Moeller-Reed-...0018027--session_id.431364288--view_id.368241
