Is it normal for the fuel gauge needle to bounce around while under way. We were out yesterday for the first time and I noticed it bouncing between 3/4 to just under 1/2. The tank was just over half full.

Re: Fuel gauge question

normal... This is a boat, not a car. Fuel gauges are there to tell you if its full (pegged on F), or empty (no longer moving) Anything else just means you have fuel in there.

Re: Fuel gauge question

The fuel gauge will always be wrong, in addition to bouncing around. The trick with boats is to learn what the bouncing actually means, on your boat.
