I think that you will find your guage only works when your boat is level which mine never is except when it is on the trailer i finally installed a navman gps and fuel sensor which really has not helped me much because it does not registar the fuel use on my trolling motor not enough flow for the meter to registar i guess i thilnk it has something to do with the type of sending unit you have and where it is locateed on the tank
