Fuel hose dia for 20HP Honda

I just purchased 10' of 1/4" fuel hose for my new/used BF20
To my frustration when I started extending the original hose is 3/8"
Will 1/4' be sufficient or did I throw away $20 ?

I don't think you will have a problem...I have one motor with 3/8 to the bulb, 1/4 after
