I am rebuilding /restoring an 88 Sea Ray 300 w/ twin 5.7L MIE Mercs/ Borg Warner drives.
While I'm in there replacing the obvious, I am wondering if I should go ahead and replace all the original fuel hoses. They are all made with crimped flared fittings. The all look good on the outside, no rot or cracks anywhere but with alcohol on the horizon am not sure if the factory hoses can handle.
If I was to replace, should I try to have a local shop reinstall the crimped ends or would you simply go with the barb clamp option.
Your opinions?
