Fuel Hose Size

1987 Johnson 90ho (J90TLCUR)

I just rcvd a new OEM bulb and hose assembly and it is 5/16.

The hose from the tank to the water seperator is 3/8, and the old (aftermarket) bulb/hose assembly was the same size. Can I use the new one or is this going to cause a restriction?

The original OEM hose for your motor was 5/16; superseding part number for the bulk hose is 0772564.

3/8 is fine, especially for a long distance, but not generally necessary.
