Fuel level in filter

Hello, I have been having WOT problems and noticed that the fuel level in the in line filter case is fluctuating quite a bit. It will start out decent then go down to almost empty and then rise a little and fall etc. I am wondering if this is normal or if the fuel level should stay relatively the same while the engine is running? Thank you!

The fuel in the see thru filter should stay close to full while the motor is running. If it is changing as you stated then you have a air leak in the fuel line or system or a pump that needs rebuilt. I would look at the primer bulb and line first as they do go bad often.
