fuel line connector old type what is it called?

I have 80's type outboard and it has a round fuel connector - sort of like an air compressor connector<br /><br />It is round and you pull the outside of it back and push it on to the engine and let go and that connects it on.<br /><br />I wanted to get an extra fuel tank for it and I found that the new ones are completely different<br /><br />What type of connector do I ask for or look for? <br /><br />I could not tell in the mega mall what ones would fit thanks!

It sounds like a Suzuki connector. <br />Some other brand may be using the same type connector though. Connecters are classified by what brand engine they correspond to. Just be careful as some brands have different size connectors.

thanks it was a suzuki connector - $24 versus 6 for the new style!!!
