fuel line connectors?

I recently purchased two used Mercury boat motors with fuel lines and a tank. The tank is an OMC tank. The fuel lines have an OMC connector on the tank end, and a Mercury connector on the motor end. I have not ran these motors yet, but was wondering if there is a problem with running the fuel lines with this current setup? The motors are a 1994 25HP and a 2002 8HP. All I have ever owned were OMC motors so all my tanks are OMC style connectors. Thank you for your time and I apologize if this is a stupid question, I just don't want to damage the motors in any way! I also am assuming these are 50/1 mix motors. Please let me know if that is not correct! Thanks Again! Ownsbud56

50-1 correct, i don't forsee a problem with the current set up, as long as the don't leak.

I run my 25hp Merc with a Yamaha tank, at the fuel line obviously has a merc connector one end and a yamaha the other.

Works perfectly, never had any problems.
