fuel line vs. vacuum

Is the vacuum line used in my car the same rubber material as the fuel line used in my outboard motor. Its much cheaper.

The fuel line used in your boat is much different than the vacuum line in your car. Fuel line is reinforced by a fabric layer, and is more fuel resistant than vacuum line. You can buy fuel line by the foot at an auto parts store. It will serve your purpose, but is not as tough as real marine fuel line.

Under no circumstances should you use vacuum hose. Period.

I have used a gas hoise as fuel line it works perfeckt.
