Fuel mixture

just bought a Johnson 1989 25hp on the engine it says to mix 100-1 fuel mixture been using 50-1 and engine runs rough could this be the problem?? was told to use 50-1 mixture<br /> <br /> Buffy

50:1 and it probably could stand a tune up...<br />get specific and post the question under the outboard motors section. Be descriptive and explain what running rough means to you... at an idle, half throttle, wide open etc...<br /><br />Welcome fellow VT person.<br /><br />Bob
