I have a 1964 johnson 18HP and a johnson dealer told me 1 pint for every 6 gallons but I think it might be wrong just seems a bit much to me but maybe not

Re: Fuel/oil mixture??

The correct mixture is 24:1 for that outboard. One quart of TCW3 outboard oil per 6 gallons of fuel.

For the second poster, 24:1 is the correct mixture for yours, too, although some do run those on 50:1. Personally, I'd use 24:1 if I had that nice outboard. Too much oil won't hurt. Too little might.
