Fuel/oil ratio for a '64 3hp JW-19A

I know J/E switched from 24/1 to 50/1 right around that year, but I can't recall exactly. Anybody sure of the answer? Thanks!!

OMC officially specified 1964 and later engines for 50:1, but some of our most knowledgable experts point out that the little JWs weren't fully converted to ball and needle (frictionless) bearings until about 1970. They recommend 24:1 for pre-1970 JWs.

I ran my own JW-21 on 50:1 for years with no trouble. I would run 50:1 in yours, too.
