Hello, I have a1985 60hp evinrude on a 24 ft. pontoon.
My problem is took it out 3 weeks ago,it ran fine,came back 2 weeks later,had to keep choking it for a long time,got out on the lake it ran ok at 3/4 or less thortle. At wot it would bog down changed the plugs seemed ok ran good at wot for 15-18 minuter started to sputter again.Next day started it up smoked like crazy at idle,ran good for 15 min,sputtering again.My question is how to figure out is it fuel or electrinic.60 ph 2cyl, 1985 evinrude.
Any help would be app.

Sounds like it is time to remove and rebuild carbs. Easy job that you can do yourself. Just make sure you run a small wire through all the jets and spray them out good with carb spray. Better is to soak them overnight in a good cleaner and then use the wire.

Before you get to the carbs, do a compression and spark test on it. Spark should jump a 7/16" open air gap on a tester.
