I am having a new fuel tank built and want to upgrade the fuel pickup capacity to support two outboard motors of ~200 HP.

The OEM tanks had one 3/8" NPT. This was OK with twin carbed 150HP powerhead-rated engines. When I replaced them with 150HP V6 prop-rated engines I had fuel starvation and needed to use a puller pump to deliver enough fuel.

I now have FI engines so no present fuel delivery problem, but I want the new tanks to have the capacity if ever needed.

Should I have TWO 3/8" pickups, or one of some larger diameter per tank?
