Cheer up! The weather looks like it's going to suck so we won't be using the boats anyway.

It just went up 25 cents today. Down 3 cents, up 15 cents, down 2 cents, up 20 cents, quite the racket.

Careful guys. Fuel price threads rarely survive the time it takes to pump a $1 worth . . .

Yeah. It's not going to stop me from my wonderful 4 day weekend!! It's just that sticker shock you get when you see the price one day, then the next it's eek!!

More "The sky is falling" balderdash. Yeah, and prices could drop $.50, too.

Tell that . . . .um. . .journalist (??) to find some facts to write about.

Seen this in my local paper.
Gas could increase 30 cents?

"The good news is it will be very short-lived," Moen said.

Hmm. A very "Short-lived" increase just in time for the holiday weekend.... Nice...

The Industry had to try something, so they threw in this important "news". It looks like the only reason it is news, is because Exxon had to file with the EPA, when they flare off gas. Could be nothing, maybe a refinery process restart.

The Memorial holiday weekend is approaching fast, but fuels prices are dropping a bit, at least around here.

Maybe time to short sell/long sell, Exxon stock?

"a disruption in production at Exxon Mobil Corp.'s Joliet, Ill., refinery could drive retail gasoline prices up 10 cents to 30 cents a gallon."

Edit: Sorry, politically charged.

We just dropped to $3.99. I forget what they said. We're something like a $1.30 or so higher than this time last year.....

Re: fuel price on the rise? 30 Cents?

Preface: I live in California and everything is expensive.

Went down to the marina today to fill up at the gas dock before the weekend crowds. Attendant says I was lucky as he just got a price change to enter in the computer after I was done fueling. My price $4.79, new price $5.59! Even for the 20 gallons I topped my bowrider off with that would have been a $16 difference.

Only reason I filled up at $4.79 is put my boat in a slip for a couple weeks while I'm on vacation and didn't want to haul the trailer down there. I told him good luck selling that stuff.
