I recently purchased a outboard 85 hp merc. The main problem at first was I was not getting any spark at the plugs. I determined the problem to be in the trigger assy. That took care of that ant the motor started to run for a while. But then suddenly it stop. I look to see if i still had spark and i did. So I look to the fuel system and their two carbarators on the 4cyl motor. When I look into the throat of this carbs I didn't see any fuel coming out off these units. So I checked the lines and the fuel pump. The pump seem to be working, But just in case I rebuilt the fuel pump ant the two carbs making sure everything was clean and used compress air for all the openings. but still i was not getting any fuel from the jet int the center of each carb. I went ahead and replaced the fuel pump with an electric one that was rated at 4 to 7psi 35 gal per hour. And still I'm not geting any fuel in the two carbs. So thats were I'm at. Any ideas?????????????
