have late 2003 mariner 60hp big foot sat for 6mths when i started it ran sick couldn't get wot,found dried oil in carbs cleaned out with air and all jets with fine piece of wire, now it idles well and runs well up to 3000rpm after that it dies push choke in ,way it goes then dies again,tried 2 different tanks with vents open no difference,haven't put new gaskets on as its fairly new motor,compression okay

Hey,<br /><br />Sounds as if your carby clean job isn't all through yet?<br /><br />Check if your worries change when you squezze the bulb (constantly) while testing. If so your fuel supply needs checking (that is: if helping the pump by squeezing the bulb solves it, your pump isn't working/restricted/leaking).
