Relatively new to boating. I’m getting no gas to the carb. Pulled the tank and all lines are clear and open. Replaced the filter this afternoon. My only thought is the the fuel pump. It is a very difficult item to source. Considering switching to electric from mechanical. Is that a good idea? Any thoughts, suggestions, or assistance is appreciated!

Welcome abord.

Gotta ask - Was the motor running and quit or you haven't seen it run?

Putting electric fuel pumps on marine engines isn't just a matter of plugging it in. You also have to provide a safety system (in the form of an oil pressure switch) so the pump stops running if the engine stalls, or the key is left on.

Plenty of replacement mechanical pumps available.. Just be sure you get one marine certified. (yes, there is a difference).
