Ok I have this 21 ft sea pro that i bought last summer, it has 4.3 TKS with a 2bbl carb with an electric fuel pump. (part # 861155A3). Everything I've been reading says i should have around 4-6 PSI output from the pump to the carb. But my pump information says it has 8-10psi?? My issue was the bowl in the carb was over filling dumping fuel so I got the carb rebuilt, but now I'm questioning if the pump I have is the right one. Possibly too much pressure? Do i go with a regulator? Or swap out he pump with a Carter P4389 6 psi .

Shouldn’t have more than 6-7 psi you should measure it while running. Only two ways bowl overflows is if needle and seat and float is not working or too much fuel pressure. If there is too much fuel pressure just get the correct low pressure replacement no need to switch designs

I think the factory pumps are made by airtex and you can match it up online for a lower cost

Don't have your serial number, but looking into 4.3 with TKS that is the right part number. Have also found some serria pumps listing 8 to 10 psi. A carb has always been 4-7 psi and above that is not good. The 9-10 range is normally used as lift pump used to feed a high pressure fuel injection pump.

Hey Fun Times or muc have any thoughts?

Based on anything I have read on Rochester or Holley carbs that is too much pressure. Do they use a regulator with the electric pump as OE from Mercruiser?
