I had to change my intake on my 4.3 and now I can't seem to get any fuel to the pump. I am getting voltage at the hookup for the pump when I turn the engine over.

Does it simply take a little time for the pump to prime after being off the boat for 2 weeks or is my pump shot?

Thanks in advance guys.

Just realized you have a Volvo Penta. Post over there. I just deleted my Mercruiser wiring diagrams and plumbing post.

The other VP thread

Note the diode on the Yellow/Red wire going then to an Orange wire going to the relay. If this diode opens up there will be no power to the relay. No power to the relay then no power to the pump. To find out if this is your issue, use a voltmeter and check for 12V on each side of the diode.

I checked it and had power everywhere. I was able to pull gas to the pump and now it's running under its own power. I guess sometimes the simplest answer is the correct one.

Thank yall for the diagrams because I do have another wiring problem I'm chasing. Another question for another day.
