If you have the small square pump there is a factory kit available.-----The parts list shows the small square pump but many different pumps could have been installed.-----Now the parts list does not show a kit for 1975.-----But that pump was used on many motors .----So look for the kit on say a 1990 model 9.9 Johnson.----About $20 and the very important instructions come with it.----My supplier always has it in stock as well.-----That little pump was used from about 1968 to 2006.-----Easy to repair in my opinion.
