I am removing my fuel pump and had a problem.

First... the sight tube needs replacement, where do I find a suitable one? What is it made of?

Second... the flexible fuel hose (from separator to pump inlet) was frozen to pump, had to cut it, it is marked USCG, where do I find a suitable replacement?

Third... the hard fuel line on the pressure side of the pump (going to carb) is hard to remove from pump. I undid the top nut, and I can't get the pipe out of the pump, any tricks?

Fourth... the manual reads "coat gasket with Perfect Seal", what is the equivalent of this (RTV?) and where can I get it?

Fifth... the manual reads "coat pipe threads with locktite pipe sealant" Is this different from regular locktite?

and

Sixth... should I prime the new fuel pump before I install it to reduce dry run time?

Thank you all.

Find your local Mercruiser dealer, he has everything you need, including Perfect Seal.
Yes, Loctite pipe sealer is different that other Locktite products, and the Loctite pipe sealer works very well on pipe threads in fuel systems. Do not get talked into using Teflon Tape or you will be back here complaining of only 3000 rpms max from your engine.

RTV is good for... NOTHING that I can think of.

Just buy a new fitting for the pump. you will probly ruin it trying to get it out anyways. It might just be a double flare fitting adapter commonly used in brake hydraulic systems

NEVER use teflon tape on cast aluminum or pot metal.... you'll crack the housing... then you'll really have a leak!

Not to argue Jimmy, when applied properly in the right application for the specific RTV, there is nothing like it. GE manufactures over 18 different types, all for different applications.
