When I replace my mechanical fuel pump on a '81 GM 350 Mercruiser will oil come pouring out all over the engine and fill the bilge? If so should I just empty the oil and perform and oil change at the same time? Thanks in advance.
Although oil is "slung" in the area of the fuel pump. There should be no need to worry about leaking oil from that area. If the gasket to block was bad an oil leak might be evident,8)
