fuel pump sight hose

the clear hose on my mersruiser 3.0 shows fuel in the tube. can someone tell me wat this means.

It means the diaphram in the pump is torn.While some fuel is getting to the carb,some is going into the crankcase.If it were your car,excess gas woould be spraying or dripping on the ground.<br />DHP
