I recently changed the VRO pump on my 1994 evinrude 120 looper. I installed a new dual pump sold by Promarine and there is a ticking noise coming from the pump. I’m curious if that is a common occurrence?
Got a link for the pump? I am not familiar with it. The air motor in a vro "clicks" but not usually audible to me, I have to feel it to count the clicks.
Just looked at their site. It appears the dual pumps are just pulse pumps. They probably wouldn't click. Did you block or reuse the original port for the pulse line?
More optimistically, there are all kinds of ticks and rattles on 2-cycle motors, probably particularly as they age. Any way you can post a clip of it running (and ticking).
