How tough is it to replace a fuel pump on an 88 350 mercruiser? I have the boat a couple of hundred miles away and can't picture the job.

Re: fuel pump

If it is mechanical, it should be two bolts, two fuel lines and a new gasket. Be sure to use a marine fuel pump. Failure of an automotive pump can fill your bilge with gas fumes. One turn of the starter and BOOM!

http://www.amarket.com/fuepchev.htm
