Fuel Question

I have recently purchased a DF90. I believe it is a 07 model. I had an old Evinrude 115. I still have some oil gas mix in my tank and I was wondering if I could top off the tank and run it through the new motor with out damaging it?

Hi there, How much left over fuel do you believe you have?

It's not the best thing to do running mixed fuel in your new four stroke. Your best bet would be to try and remove as much fuel as possible before filling up with new.

I would not do it. Oil in gasoline can reduce the octane rating of the gasoline. Four strokes have high compression ratios and may be more prone to detonation than two strokes.

Does your motor have a knock sensor?

You might call Suzuki or consult with one of their dealers to see if they have a position with respect to this matter.
